Wooden Toys

Wooden toys don’t have the technologically advances bells and whistles seen in most of today’s toys. But this is a good thing. Many parents and educators believe that the simplicity of wooden playthings can encourage the child to more actively use their imagination.

Safety has been a recent concern with plastic toys recently. Many plastic toys come from poorly regulated manufacturing plants and can contain lead and BPA. Wooden toys are free from these toxins.

Wooden toy makers are committed to safety and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.  Wooden toys are finished with non-toxic paints and stains like vegetable dyes. The wood used to make many of these toys is grown on tree farms maintained by the companies themselves.
